At HackMCST V, you can expect to have a great time while you work alone or with your friends to plan, develop, and present an idea over the course of 24 hours.

  • Must be from 7-12th grade
  • May not leave the event early 
  • May only have teams up to 4 
  • Must agree to the Code of Conduct 
  • Must agree to the Contest Terms and Conditions
  • Must agree to the Privacy Policy 


Each team must submit one submission by 8pm on Sunday. If a team does not submit their hack by 8pm, they will not qualify for judging or prizes. Teams must only submit a hack that was create during the hacking period. Any project made previously to the event or created before the hacking period will be disqualified.

Judging Criteria

  • User Interface / Usability
    The U.I. is intuitive and easy to use. It also looks aesthetically pleasing and the creators are not at all needed to run the hack.
  • Functionality
    The hack works well and has a useful function and is well-suited to serve a purpose.
  • Creativity
    The team uses their imagination and creative ideas to improve their hack.
  • Physical Presentation
    The hack is presented in a clear, cohesive manner that explains what it does, why it is helpful, and a brief description of how it was created.
