Another Important Reminder Email

Hey Hackers!

HackMCST is this Saturday! Here’s some information to help you have a great time!

Once again, if you did not register through the form on our website, in order to attend you must email bhavya.patel@mcvts.org by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, 11/8 with the following information (since the registration period has now ended): Email Address, Full Name, Phone Number, Birthday, Gender, Race, School Name, Grade, Dietary Restrictions/Allergies, Shirt Size, Parent/Guardian Email, and your written consent to our Terms and ConditionsCode of Conduct, and Privacy Policy

If you have not already done so, please submit the waiver found on our website to this link. You must submit a waiver to participate! If you cannot submit a digital copy of the waiver, you may bring a physical copy to the event on Saturday and present it during check-in.

You may arrive to check-in beginning at 8:00 a.m., and the opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. Please enter through the school’s cafeteria entrance.

Hacking will begin at 9:00 a.m. and have a hard deadline submission of 6:30 p.m. The event has a tentative end time of 9:00 p.m., although in past years we have found it to go a little longer.

We will be having a few workshops and will provide more information about the workshops at the hackathon. We will be using the Remind app to send notifications regarding workshops, meals, and deadlines. Feel free to download the Remind app for your convenience, although it is not necessary. If you would like to join now, please text “@hackmcst5” to the following number: 81010

We will be accepting project submissions at the hackathon through our Devpost page. If you would like to register for our Devpost event now for your convenience, you may use this link.

What to Bring

  • a valid form of ID (such as your license or school ID)
  • your waiver, only if it has not already been submitted to Dropbox
  • laptops, phones, or any other devices you may wish to use for your hack
  • charging cords for your devices
  • extension cords
  • any medications, inhalers, EpiPens, or other items that you may need

Note: We will not be able to accomodate for specific dietary restrictions (e.g. gluten-free, vegan, kosher, etc.) or severe allergies. Please bring your own food since we are unable to accommodate those requests. We can refrigerate food that hackers bring due to dietary restrictions. We will have vegetarian options at each meal.

We’re excited to see everyone on Saturday! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,

HackMCST Team
